Is it a real Fire Engine?

Yes, our Volvo FL6 is a decommissioned engine

from a station in Scotland.

It finished service in 2003 & has now been converted into a Limousine.

How many people can ride in the limousine?

We can legally carry 8 passengers. Please do not ask us to carry any more.

For any event especially children’s birthday party's, we can make 2 runs if local.

For children's parties we can take 7 kids as an adult has to be in the back with them.

How long can I hire the Fire Engine for?

Some clients hire the engine for one hour. However, talk to us when you book and we can try to accommodate all your needs if you wish to book for longer.
You can split the hire time into several shorter trips, depending on travelling distance.
This is popular for children’s parties. This also works well if you hire the Engine for a Stag or Hen nights where some people want to go to several venues

How much will it cost?

That will depend on the length of the hire required, where you want to go & what you want to do, prices will vary.

How far will you travel?

That all depends on the length of time you have hired the Engine for and how many miles you wish to travel. This includes a one pickup & drop off Service.

Where is the Fire Engine limousine based?

Our Fire Engine Limo is based in Portsmouth, if you wish to view the Fire engine before hiring it for a special occasion, please contact us to make an appointment and we will be happy to show you round.

Are seatbelts fitted?

Yes, We have lap belts fitted for all our passengers to wear for safety.

Can we smoke?
 

Sorry, NO the law states you are not allowed to smoke in vehicles used for private hire, if you wish to stop for a smoke during the hire period, we will be happy to oblige, but this will be included in the hire time

Can we have the lights flashing and siren on?

As the fire engine is no longer an emergency vehicle the law requires us to disable the blues and twos. This is why the lights have been changed to orange and these will be activated when picking up & dropping off at your destination.

Do the crew wear the Uniform?

Yes, Both our Fire fighter’s come complete dressed up in the fireman’s outfits for the authentic look. As an added bonus you can borrow fire helmets for both kids & big kids (sorry adults!) if you wish to wear them while you take photo's.

Do you provide music?

Yes, We do have a selection of music to cater for all ages, however if you have a preferred choice of music then feel free to bring your CD's along with you. At the end of the journey some guests leave their CD's with us to save carrying it around with them while they are enjoying themselves. We will happily look after it for you & return this to you as soon as we can.

Can you take the Crew home with you?

It might be your dream to take a fireman home in uniform but Sorry, they do have homes to go to and we need them out on the road again for another shout.
